Lightwaves Hire was started in 2019 by a co-operative of ex-Theatre and Live Event Technicians who have a great passion for what they do.
Based in Penistone, South Yorkshire and with a satellite depot in Bury, Lancashire and with easy access to the M1/ M62/M60 network, we are ideally located to cover the South & West Yorkshire and the Greater Manchester areas.

We hired lightwaves for our wedding. Ted rocked up the day before with a friend and turned an empty tipi into something that wouldn’t go amiss at a music festival. The stage and lighting for the band were extremely impressive and the sound quality of the speakers used were excellent. There was a bit of a mix up about generators being supplied to him by the venue (not anyone’s fault) but instead of troubling myself and the bride-to-be he worked it all out with the venue saving us any additional stress. Ted genuinely made our big day special and I’m so glad we asked for his assistance. I cannot recommend him enough 10/10.
